Timberwolf Trail - Week 9 - 2018-19 Edition

The beauty of fall was in full bloom this week in nature kindergarten. We enjoyed our daily excursions into nature and look forward to the many days ahead.

We spread out for another Sit Spot session and came back together to share our observations.

We also used our imag8ination to make some animal yoga poses. Can you tell what animals are being shown below?

We also enjoyed some outdoor morning meetings with special greetings, shares, and a game or activity.

We also took time to do some outdoor Phonics work, visit some nature friends, and of course, play.

After finding some milkweed pods bursting with seeds, we decided to let the fluff fly.

Additionally, it was time for a new round of outdoor stations. We had students read library books on various topics like bats, weather, birds, and seeds.

We used stones to review sight words.

We had some creative time with pine cones

We also practiced putting on and walking with our snowshoes. . . .or maybe grass shoes.

Of course, along the way we found many nature friends. Speaking of nature friends, our next focus will be in what are plant and animal friends need in order to prepare for winter. We will work with hibernation and migration, wants and needs, winter birding, and a variety of wonderful service projects.
